Reforestation Projects

Deforestation has devastated water sources and impacted climate change on both a local and global level and its effects are dramatic in the eastern part of Guatemala where rainfall has traditionally been scarce. Godoys Coffee is a leader in its community for forest preservation and reforestation. Every year hundreds, even thousands of trees are planted on our property to increase the habitat of birds, mammals and other wild creatures and to protect against erosion.

Not only are we busy planting trees but each year we donate seedlings to several local schools to teach and encourage children to protect Guatemala’s forests.
