Roasting Specifications
-
Medium Roast
Guatemalan coffee is traditionally roasted lightly like our medium roast. Smooth and sweet, the aroma is fragrant and penetrating. The cup is snappy and full-bodied with penetrating acidity.
-
Dark Roast
A dark roast for Guatemala, this would be considered a medium, or mid-city roast, elsewhere. The cup is smooth and flavorful with a hint of spice and chocolate, balanced acidity and without bitterness. This is our most popular roast.
-
French Roast
Another very popular roast, the flavor is intense with a hint of chocolate. The aroma is less penetrating and the aftertaste is pungent, but without acidity. Often used for espresso and cappuccino.
-
Espresso Roast
The darkest of the roasts, this is a very strong coffee without bitterness. The intrinsic oils of the coffee come immediately to the surface of the bean to give it a dark, oily sheen. For the true lover of a very dark roast.
